The Hound
​
Luca is a four-year-old whippet, who was born in Co. Armagh, Northern Ireland. Having spent a few years living in Edinburgh with his first family, he was then fostered by his walkers in the summer of 2024 and moved to their home in Dalkeith.
Thanks to JR Whippet Rescue, he has now found his forever home in Kippen. A curious hound and champion burrower (especially under duvets), this bouncy little chap can't wait to explore some new turf!

The First Hound

Ledi (a.k.a. The Sausage) ~ 30th April 2010 - 2nd May 2024
Ledi was born in Jedburgh and lived happily on an estate in Northumberland for a couple of years, before deciding he needed to get out from under the paws of a rather over-zealous spaniel and relocating to Scotland.
​
Although he was a champion snoozer, he always loved a good excursion and was particularly keen on views, beaches and snow. Water, not so much. A gentle and sensitive soul with oodles of love to give, he had human and canine friends all over the UK.
The Owner

Sarah is a freelance writer and editor and lives with Luca in the beautiful village of Kippen, just on the edge of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park.

A former estate agent and television presenter, Sarah has lived and worked in England, Italy and France but returned to her childhood home of Stirlingshire in 2014 - and doesn't plan on leaving.
When she's not whipping copy into shape or 'excursing' with the hound, she can be found waitressing in the village farm shop, scratching her thespian itch with the local drama club...or at home, in her pyjamas, with a good old glass of wine and a box set. And a whippet, of course ;)
